What We Think of the Bose SoundLink AE Wireless HB II Headphones
When it comes to audio electronics, Bose has long been a company that is recognized for sound quality and product durability. These SoundLink wireless headphones are no exception. We all know how much abuse headphones can take as we move around in our day-to-day life; Bose thought ahead and designed a made-to-fit protective case for the headphones, as well as incorporating impact-resistant materials to ensure the headphones can withstand whatever lifestyle you put them through.
These wireless headphones weigh only 0.4 lbs, making them some of the lightest and most comfortable on the market today. A 15 hour playtime per charge ensures that music lovers out there will not be limited by a short battery life or frequent charging demand. A connection range of 30 ft for two devices at once sets these headphones apart from the rest of the pack. Voice cues will alert you when you have a low battery and can tell you things like caller id or device connection.
I bought these headphones for my daughter as a birthday gift. She has wanted a pair like these for so long and I am very happy I chose this Bose model. She uses them constantly and loves that she only needs to charge them every couple of days. She syncs them to her laptop for music and movies and says she can also connect to her phone to hear messages and notifications. Very happy customer!

These headphones are designed to block out external noise, ensuring premium sound for whatever you are listening to, while also improving outgoing audio during calls. These headphones can connect to devices via Bluetooth or an Aux cord; while the sound quality is slightly better using an Aux cord, the Bluetooth connection is still one of the strongest you’ll find in a pair of headphones.

You’ve come to the right place if you are shopping for headphones that blow the competition out of the water. These Bose QuietComfort 35 II wireless Bluetooth headphones combine impressive quality and rich features in a surprisingly light and durable device.
Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
These Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones are one of the most feature-rich options we found during our hours of investigation. We just hope we have enough time to tell you everything. Lets start off with the design; these headphones weigh only half a pound and have a highly flexible and durable band. The earpieces are designed to contour around your ears instead of pressing on them, and the pieces are removable so you can replace them when the cushioning eventually begins to wear down.
These headphones offer a very respectable 20 hours of playtime per charge, and with a range of approximately 58 ft, there isn’t much you can’t do while wearing these headphones. You can connect to these headphones using its Bluetooth capability or an Aux cord; if going with the Aux cord, the playtime of the charge is doubled to 40 hours! Its sleek black design make these a great stealthy set of headphones.
I have a very simple sentiment to express. If you have a few hundred dollars to spend on a set of wireless headphones, you’ve found the ones you need to purchase. These things have multiple levels of noise cancellation, a great wireless range, a very comfortable and lightweight design, and they are compatible with the Alexa home assistant. What more could you possible want?
Greg O.
The features that really stand out to us are threefold. First, there is a Bose app that can be used with these headphones for control and monitoring of the device’s status. Secondly, the headphones are Alexa enabled. Everything you can do with Alexa normally can be done using your headphones. Thirdly, the noise cancellation technology built into these headphones is the best we’ve ever seen. Three levels of control (high, low, and no noise cancellation) make them adaptable to every situation and every individual’s personal preferences.

The Best for Less Option
PowerLocus
If you are shopping for wireless headphones on a budget, there is no better option than these PowerLocus Bluetooth headphones. At a fraction of the price of your average wireless headphones, this device is still competitive for sound quality and functionality.
PowerLocus H-40 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the PowerLocus H-40 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
These wireless headphones brought to us by PowerLocus offer great performance in conjunction with a highly affordable price tag. At a significant fraction of the price of the other headphones on this list, this is a great choice for budget shoppers and those who will not be using their headphones for extended periods of time at once. Since these are lower quality headphones, the comfort for longer listening is just not there.
Fitting in with our other top picks, these headphones weigh only 0.4 lbs. They have a few features that make them competitive with other top brands; they have a 33 ft wireless range and a 15 hour playtime per charge. These headphones have one of the widest ranges of color options available that we came across, so whatever your style, we guarantee you will find a pair to suit you. These headphones also have the unique function of playing music off an SD card to avoid the need for your phone.
I bought these PowerLocus headphones for my young son. Since he is only 8, I didn’t want to spend a few hundred dollars on a pair he’ll eventually end up breaking (all the parents out there with sons know exactly what I mean). These headphones still have great sound quality and the lack of cushioning doesn’t bother him since he’s got a small head. Very happy with my purchase.
Janette N.
Although we love these budget friendly headphones, there are a few drawbacks we want to make you aware of. As mentioned, they are lower quality and do not have the comfort you see with more expensive headphones. The earpieces tend to get warm after an hour or so of playtime and they are not the most durably made; you’ll have to be gentle with them to avoid breaking the band. Despite the lower budget make of these headphones, the sound quality is still superior to traditional earbuds; for such a low priced item, these headphones are still a steal.

The Charge-Friendly Alternative
Beats
If you are one of those people who frequently forgets to charge your devices or you get very impatient waiting for a full charge, the Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones were made for you. With the longest battery life and a quick charge feature, these headphones are your charge-friendly alternative.
Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones
The Beats Solo3 wireless headphones have a feature that will make everyone happy with them. People who put sound quality above everything else will be more than satisfied with the power on these headphones; since they are on-ear headphones instead of over-ear, the sound can leak out into the surroundings at higher volumes. There are three stunning color options available that will permit those stylish folks out there the opportunity to match their headphones to their wardrobe.
40 hours of playtime per charge makes these headphones the best option for people who are forgetful about charging their devices (we all know those people) or who just prefer to charge less often. A Fast Fuel feature also acts as a saving grace for those forgetful minds; a 5 minute charge gives the headphones an impressive 3 hours of playtime. No matter how big your time crunch, this feature will allow you to have music when you need it.
Everyone knows that Beats are some of the best headphones out there. This model is no exception; they have great sound quality, they are very loud at top volume which I love for working out, and they fit pretty snug. Although it does get a bit uncomfortable after a long time, they very rarely fall off my head and I am a pretty active guy. I’d buy these again.
Harrison M.
Active individuals will benefit from the snug fit and material choice of the band. Both of these features promote the immovability of these headphones. Although this does make them uncomfortable for long periods of wear, it is definitely a scenario where you should accept the sacrifice. The biggest downfall of the headphones is that they cannot be paired to older generations of phones because of the upgraded A1 chip. People with compatible phones will be more than happy with the connection.

The Bass Heavy Alternative
Beats
If you are one of those people that go a little crazy for some deep bass, the Beats Studio3 wireless headphones are meant for you. With noise cancellation and full ear coverage, these headphones will move the bass right through your body more than any other headphones on the market.
Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones
The Beats Studio3 wireless headphones are one of the more expensive options on the market. They are competitive in price to the leading Bose and Sony noise cancelling wireless headphones, but the quality is not as competitive in all areas. These Beats headphones are the heaviest of the ones on our list at 2.2 lbs, and they have a tendency to pull on hair due to the band material.
However, these headphones are incredibly comfortable for long wear times. They have well cushioned earpieces and a design that makes the headphones adaptable to any head shape. Although the band may pull on hair a bit, its material also allows it to stay in place better than most other headphones; definitely a trade off worth evaluating. These headphones can be used with an Aux cord or via a Bluetooth connection, so they are adaptable to any situation.
These Beats are great if you like a strong bass. At times it overpowers the rest of the song, so you’ll need to be more choosy with your track choices for better sound quality. These are incredibly comfortable headphones though, and they come in some pretty sweet color options. The battery life is definitely the best part of these headphones; super convenient to charge less frequently.
Daniel S.
One of the best things about this pair of headphones is its battery life; with the noise cancelling feature on, the battery can last 22 hours per charge. With noise cancelling off, that playtime is nearly doubled to 40 hours. Our biggest issue with these beats headphones is the sound quality; while you will experience some of the best bass possible, it comes at the cost of good high and mid sound quality. These headphones can also not pair with older generations of phones, which may be an issue for some shoppers.
Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones Specifications
- Dimensions: 6.3” x 8.9” x 4.7”

- Very long battery life without noise cancelling

Quality 4.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 4.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 5.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, the Beats Studio3 headphones are the premium for a strong bass. If a well rounded sound is what you’re looking for these are not the headphones for you, but supreme comfort and a deep bass make these headphones ideal for some.
Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones Review
The Noise Barrier
Sony
If you are in the market for the headphones leading the race for noise cancellation technology, you’ve come to the right place. The Sony WH1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones incorporate the best noise cancelling technology into a pair of headphones already superior in comfort and sound quality.
Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones
We have a lot of great things to say about these Sony noise cancelling headphones, so let’s get right into it. Since the most important feature here is probably the noise cancellation, you will be happy to know it is superior in quality to every other pair of headphones we analyzed. Sony took these headphones to the limit of the currently available technology, and it has certainly paid off. Although voices can still be heard through the noise cancellation, that is due to the limitations of the technology and not the headphones.
These headphones have an impressive 30 hour playtime per charge, making them the leader on that front as well. If you ever find yourself with a dead pair of headphones, you can use them with the provided Aux cord, or charge them for a quick 10 minutes to receive 5 hours of battery life. There are a couple minor downsides we’d like to make you aware of. First, the audio quality for outgoing calls is not the greatest so we don’t recommend using the headphones for that purpose. Secondly, the earmuffs have a tendency to get warm with extended use, so you may end up with some sweaty ears.
This has become, and will always be, my favorite pair of headphones. The noise cancelling feature alone makes these headphones worth a few hundred dollars, but combine that with superb sound quality and the most comfortable design I’ve ever seen, these headphones are priceless to me. I recommend these headphones to literally everybody, you can’t go wrong here. I’d spend double the price without hesitating.
Hailey V.
The most unique thing about these headphones is its integrative technology; they are compatible with both the Alexa home assistant and a Sony app. The app allows you to change which aspects of the music are emphasized (bass for example), monitor battery life, control the level of noise cancellation, and so much more.

Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition Video Review
What We Think of the Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition
Bass is notoriously a part of the sound experience that can be difficult to hear through headphones. With the Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition, the base is stronger. There is even a double press play button to amplify the bass for bass-heavy genres or songs.
In addition to the enhanced bass, the Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition comes with high resolution audio, complete with noise cancelling capabilities and custom 40mm drivers. Up to 90% of the ambient noise can be cancelled with the technology.
We are impressed by the battery play time too. It can play for up to 40 hours if the noise cancelling feature is on. If you choose to listen at a lower volume without noise cancelling features, the battery life can be extended to 60 hours.
One last great feature of these headphones is the price. The price of these headphones is completely affordable and reasonable, especially if you consider the luxury and enhanced features that the product comes with.
I didn’t expect these to be great because of the price point, but they are fantastic. I’ve been using them for about one year. Great noise cancelling and sound. Very long battery life. I use them everyday for music and podcasts while doing house chores and other stuff. They are better than my husband’s $300 headphones.
Andrea
Now for the downsides. For its price, the Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition deliver pretty good sound. However, people who are interested in the best sound quality possible will likely be disappointed by these headphones. The resolution and sound quality simply aren’t up to many peoples’ standards.
There are also some issues about the durability of the product. Customers report that the headphones die after a couple of months. So, these are not a great pick if you want a long lasting product, which we are assuming you do.
That in mind, the Soundcore by Anker Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones Holiday Edition offers a decent listening experience considering the price. You might want to purchase these headphones while you are saving up for a better set, though.

Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones
As technology has become more advanced, headphones are offering nearly 100% noise cancellation. The Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones offers one of the most impressive noise cancellation capabilities.
These headphones are designed so that you can enjoy your music or simple peace and quiet with noise cancellation. How it works is that the noise cancellation adjusts to whatever environment you are in with One Push AINC.
The Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones come with other notable features. For example, it comes with hands free calling and easily adjustable slider headband. These features make the headphones more usable and convenient.
Although we certainly love these headphones because of their noise cancellation features, there are some things we aren’t as happy about. Most notably, these headphones are expensive. Though the headphones are worth the money and long lasting, many people simply don’t like the idea of spending this amount of money on a pair of headsets.
I wanted to get a good pair of noise cancelling headphones and these were on sale on Prime Day. They fit snug but comfortable. Noise cancellation was pretty good. The overall sound is amazing. Easy to use and long battery life. This is a great investment.

Given the price, we would expect these headsets to be made from durable materials. However, the majority of the product is made from plastic. This wouldn’t be a negative on a cheaper model, but there’s no excuse for the primarily plastic material given its price.
Nevertheless, you may find the Sony WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones right up your alley. Even considering the drawbacks mentioned, these headphones do a great job of canceling sound and allowing you to enjoy your music.

Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
Many wireless headphones have both wired and wireless capabilities, but our favorite is the Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones. This capability allows you to listen to music both when your headphone is plugged in or completely wireless.
We particularly like this model’s design because it is easy to control and switch between the wired and wireless design. Both functions work really well, and we couldn’t be more pleased about the dual capabilities.
The Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones comes with a 25 hour battery life, assuming you are listening to music completely wireless. This isn’t a super long battery life, but it isn’t bad either. It also is easy to make calls when wearing these headphones because of the microphone and hands free design.
Unfortunately, there are more drawbacks to this product than pros. Customers have issues with the ear foam. The foam can create a staticky sound whenever you are listening to your music, especially in the wired manner. Customers recommended changing out the foam, and the problem will be completely rectified.
The headphone looks great and well built. The battery life is long and lasts me all day. The sound quality is good, but the noise cancellation is not as good as some of the competitor’s models. For the price I got, I am pleased and would recommend the product.
s.p.
Even though you can fix the problem, we don’t think you should have to. Especially considering that these earphones are slightly expensive, though not outrageously priced. As a result, we are really disappointed about the fact the foam is poor and disrupts the listening experience.
All around, we like the Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones’ dual wired/wireless design, but there are many features of these headphones that leave more to be desired.

DOQAUS Wireless Headphones Review
The Long Battery Life
Doqaus
The DOQAUS Wireless Headphones come with an astronomically long battery life, making it perfect for those who forget to charge their appliances. Unfortunately, it does not deliver great sound quality, but its price point offsets the downsides of it.
DOQAUS Wireless Headphones Video Review
What We Think of the DOQAUS Wireless Headphones
The DOQAUS Wireless Headphones have the longest battery life of this list. When using these headphones in Bluetooth mode at the highest volume level, the headphones deliver up to 52 hours of play time. If you have a wired connection and listen at lower volumes, the headphones can last even longer.
The price of these headphones is to die for too. These headphones are only beat out by our budget pick for being the most affordable product on the list. In other words, most people should be able to afford these headphones with no problem.
To further the value, DOQAUS offers phenomenal customer service. The headphones come with a 30 day refund, 18 month replacement guarantee, and 100% satisfaction guarantee. All of these features simply enhance the value of these already affordable headphones.
So, what’s the catch? Unfortunately, the sound quality of these headphones simply does not compete with some of the more expensive models on this list. Admittedly, the sound quality is really good considering its price, but that isn’t saying a lot because of how affordable these are.
Awesome product and battery life. These are fresh out of the box. I’m impressed. I’m blown away by the comfort and audio quality. The battery life is longer than expected, and since they support aux you don’t even have to worry about battery life. The size is perfect for women and young adults. My wife loves these because they fit so much better than Sony.
haifeng
Customers note that the microphone quality isn’t good either. In fact, one user went on to say that the microphone is practically unusable, but the customer was still more than happy with the product.
Ultimately, the DOQAUS Wireless Headphones are good products considering their price. It has a killer lifespan and customer support, but sound quality is simply lacking, which is to be expected from a headphone of this price point.

Things to Know Before Buying Wireless Headphones
What are the Benefits of Using Wireless Headphones?
There are a few significant benefits to using wireless headphones. First off, wireless headphones allow you much more freedom than wired headphones or earbuds. You will be able to ditch the cord and leave your connected device behind; this is ideal for working out, commuting, and even just hanging out in your own home. Wireless headphones are also incredibly comfortable; they have lots of padding and cushioning for all the points of contact on your head and ears to give you the best listening experience. Noise cancellation technology is also frequently paired with wireless headphones; there is no better way to listen to music than in complete auditory isolation. Lastly, wireless headphones are more secure than wired headphones or earbuds. Wired headphones provide the opportunity to catch the cord on something and pull the headphones off (all those clumsy people out there know exactly how this goes) and earbuds often fall out, especially during activity. Essentially, eliminating the wire eliminates all your problems.
What are the Different Types of Wireless Headphones?
There are three main types of wireless headphones: on ear, over ear, and in ear. Let’s investigate.
- In Ear: In ear headphones are your typical earbuds. They sit directly in your ear and are quite small. In ear headphones are great because they are compact and easy to travel with, and they still offer great sound quality. This type of headphone can be uncomfortable for some people, and they tend to fall out if you don’t have the right size for your ear shape.
- On Ear: On ear headphones have two cushioned earmuffs that sit directly on your ear. These are more comfortable than in ear headphones and can have features like noise cancellation. However, the pressure on the ears can become uncomfortable over long periods of time, and sound leak can occur with this headphone type as well.
- Over Ear: Over ear headphones are the most comfortable of all headphone types. The earmuffs are large enough that no pressure is placed directly on your ear; instead, your ears are completely surrounded by the earpieces. This headphone type can offer the best noise cancellation due to the superior seal, but this type will often also cost you the most money.
How to Properly Choose Your Wireless Headphones
- Price.
As always, the price of the product will end up being one of the most significant factors for any purchase decision. Unfortunately, a lower budget usually means you have to sacrifice some features or quality to meet your price point. When it comes to wireless headphones, there is a large discrepancy in overall quality between a $30 pair and a $300 pair. It’s up to you to decide which features are important, and how much good quality music is worth to you.
- Noise Cancellation.
Noise cancellation is becoming more and more popular as the world gets busier. Whether you are working, commuting, or exercising, drowning out the rest of the world with some great music is beneficial. While noise cancellation technology in wireless headphones will up the price, its positive impacts on your focus and the quality of the music make it worth it for many shoppers.
- Battery Life.
The battery life of your headphones will determine how often you need to remember to charge the headphones. For heavy listeners, a longer battery life will certainly be a substantial benefit. Those who don’t listen as often won’t need to be as concerned with this feature. Another battery-related feature to be on the lookout for is a quick charge; some headphones can give a few hours of battery life for a 5-10 minute charge. If you are the forgetful type or listen to music a lot, this feature will definitely come in handy.
- Sound Quality.
Considering we are talking about headphones, the sound quality is one of the most important aspects that needs to be considered during a purchase decision. As the price of the headphones increases, so generally does the quality of sound you’ll get out of them. This is when reviews really come in handy, because as we discovered, an expensive price tag does not always guarantee a good listening experience.
- Size.
For wireless headphones, they are generally all the same size when opened up. The key here is the compactness of the folded state and the size of the earmuffs. If you are a frequent traveler, a more compact headphone set will be greatly appreciated. The size of the earmuffs is very important for comfort; if you have headphones with earpieces that are too small, the pressure on your ears will cause some significant discomfort over time.
- Headphone Type.
The headphone type that is best for you depends on a lot of factors. Your activity level and desired features will determine this decision. If you are looking for comfort and noise cancellation, over the ear headphones are the way to go. If you like the stealthy look, in ear headphones will be your go to. Whichever headphone type you feel is best for you, there are lots of great options on the market to choose from.
- Portability.
The portability of your headphones will clearly be most important for commuters and those who frequently listen to music outside of the home, such as at a gym working out. The compactness of the folded headphones and the strength of the carry case will both affect how portable your headphones are. Ideally, you are looking for headphones that fold tightly and can lay flat (so rotating ear pieces are great here) and a carry case with a hard shell to protect the headphones from damage.
- Warranty.
Warranty is very important for a couple reasons. First, it is an indication of a company’s confidence in their product. If the warranty is very short, you can expect the product to have a short lifespan. Obviously, the company would prefer not to send out replacement items, so a long warranty period tells you that the product you are buying is durable and should last well beyond that warranty period. Secondly, a warranty period ensures that if the item is defective or breaks early on, you will not be on the hook for replacing the item with your own money. When it comes to a $300 pair of headphones, this is certainly appreciated.
