The steps feel sturdy however, the width of the ladder only measures 13” which is great for storage purposes however, doesn’t provide the luxury of additional space while you’re climbing the ladder.
The safety of the ladder is secured by latches making sure that it is properly assembled before using this. As you would expect for the price, this doesn’t come with an automatic retraction, and therefore, does require you to push the steps upwards manually.
These can be adjusted in height which is a great feature and since the ladder is lightweight, it doesn’t require too much work pushing the steps up to the desired height.
While the latches ensure that the ladder doesn’t snap onto your fingers when it is detracting, you do have to be careful when directing it on the last step so it doesn’t catch your fingers.

Sunhill also took into account ease of use as well as safety by providing anti-skid stripes on the surface of the pedal and anti-skid pads at the foot of the ladder.
This allows you to use it on different surfaces indoors and outdoors reducing any chance of you or the ladder from slipping.
While we appreciate the two locks on each step to ensure safety, we do find this inconvenient to detract since the user must press down on the two buttons for each step.
