The floors of our house are usually the dirtiest surface in our home, especially if you have pets tracking in dirt. No matter how hard you try, your floors will inevitably become dusty, dirty, and dingy.
Most of us probably don’t mop as often as we should since it is a laborious chore requiring buckets of water, back-breaking effort, and time we don’t have to spare.
But what if there was a way for your floors to be vacuumed and mopped while you’re at work or out for a girls’ night out? Enter the robot mop.
Robot mops are a super handy tool to have in your home. They are designed similarly to robot vacuums with suctions and bristles, but they go one step to further to also clean your floors with water to clear away stains without you having to get down on your hands and knees with some elbow grease.
Robot mops are incredibly smart machines with features that allow you to control when, where, and how your floors are mopped.
If you’re ready to experience this luxury for yourself, we can help you make the right choice after spending 21 hours researching 18 products and considering 956 reviews to find the best robot mops in Canada.

The Best Overall

Proscenic M8 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop Video Review
What We Think of The Proscenic M8 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop
The Proscenic robot vacuum/mop is number one in this guide for a reason. It has unparalleled quality in every feature, so you won’t be disappointed in one area or have to weigh the pros and cons very heavily.
Really, the only issue we have with this product is that it won’t be easily accessible to all income levels, so you may need to save up for a bit if you are set on purchasing a worthwhile product like this one.
With 150 minutes of run time per charge and self-charging and emptying features, this product is designed for efficiency with minimal management on your end.
Its impressive suction power of 3000 Pa is about as good as these products get, and it makes this robot incredibly effective even on thick carpets and heavier spills. The 4.3 L dustbin in the docking station gives you 30 days of use before you need to empty it.
I didn’t think a robot mop would actually work all that well, but I received this one as a wedding present a few weeks ago so I got to try it out without spending any of my own money. I have to say, this robot has been so helpful. I spend much less time cleaning than I used to, and it has a lot of great features that make it easy to use. I will definitely buy one myself whenever this one is no longer working.

This robot has 4 water levels that you can choose from and a water tank size of 300 ml; this is pretty standard and should let the mop handle all of your hard floors or tile in one go. You will have to dump and refill the water by hand.
The app and voice control allow you to set schedules and cleaning routes, and the smart navigation technology allows the robot to map the home for the best effectiveness.

Presentation of the Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop
The Advanced Choice
Narwal
A robot mop that needs constant attention or lacks certain features won’t deliver the right level of convenience and hands-off cleaning you’re after, and is often not worth the money. For a robot mop that does more and offers top standards and features, choose the Narwal T10 robot vacuum and mop.
Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop Video Review
What We Think of The Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop
This T10 robot vacuum and mop by Narwal is the most expensive product of this kind on the market, so it is likely going to require some time spent saving for most families.
However, its features and overall quality are truly worth the investment. While the suction power of 1800Pa is quite a bit lower than the average robot vac/mop on the market, its unique design style makes it just as effective, if not more.
It cleans in a zigzag pattern and makes use of LiDAR navigation and laser mapping in order to remember the floor plan of your home and clean in an organized manner.
The compatibility app allows you to set schedules and manage every aspect of the robot’s performance, so you always have control over where and how it is cleaning. Since each mop pad can last 3 months, you’ll be making a difference for the environment too, with less cleaning waste.
This Nawal robot vac and mop is my favorite purchase of the last 6 months. It cost a lot of money, but it is really worth it. It has a massive dual tank capacity in the docking station so it can empty the dirty mop water and refill itself, so I really don’t have to do very much to keep it running. I would prefer that it had voice control, but the app is a good alternative. I love this robot!
jamie d.
The water levels in this machine are adjustable so you can always have a perfect clean, and it can get rid of stains on your floor or wet spots with exceptional ease.
With a 150 minute runtime, it should be able to clean nearly any household without needing a charge break midway through. This model doesn’t offer any voice control option, but with the quality of the app it shouldn’t be necessary.
Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop Specifications

Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop Pros and Cons
Pros
Pros
- LiDAR navigation and laser mapping capabilities

Our Final Opinion about the Narwal T10 Robot Vacuum and Mop
Quality 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 1.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, while it is unlikely that any family will love the price of the Narwal T10 robot vacuum and mop, it is the most productive and effective model on the market. It has all of the features we expect to find in a robot of this caliber, and its run time and customizability are exceptional.

Presentation of the ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum
The Budget Pick
iLife
If mopping is your least favourite chore and you want an automatic, manual labour-less robot mop to do all the work for you but don’t have the budget for a top model, the ILife V80 Max mopping robot vacuum is the best budget-friendly option for reliability and effectiveness without the high price tag.
ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum Video Review
What We Think of the ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum
This affordable robot vacuum from ILife doubles as a robot mop, so it can help keep your floors clean no matter what combination of surfaces you have.
The one main drawback of this product is its battery life; with only 100 minutes of runtime per charge, you may find it needs to charge once or even twice to complete a full clean of your home. This depends on how messy it is, of course, and how much ground there is to cover.
With a suction power of 2000Pa, it isn’t the most powerful product of this type, but it should still be enough to manage most floor and carpet types.
It cleans in a zigzag pattern and is highly adept at avoiding collisions with objects and falling off edges like stairs, so you won’t have too much management to do that way. This robot vac/mop has a dustbin capacity of 750 ml and a water capacity of 300 ml.
I have used ILife products before, so I had a good feeling about this robot mop/vac combo. I recently removed all of the carpet from my living room and replaced it with hard wood, so my old vacuum-only robot was no longer going to help as much as I wanted it to. This replacement has been great, it does a pretty good job at keeping the floor clean and it didn’t cost too much either.
jill p.
With the capabilities for both app and voice control, you will be able to customize the cleaning performance of this robot as well as the level of water that is used (choose from three settings). With 4 different cleaning modes to take advantage of (spot clean, edge clean, max mode, and path mode) this robot can take care of all your vacuuming and mopping needs with ease.
ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum Specifications

- Water Tank Size: 300 ml
- Dustbin Size: 750 ml

ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum Pros and Cons
Pros
Pros
- Self-charging
- App and voice control available
- 4 different modes available (spot clean, edge, max mode, and path mode)
- Highly adept at avoiding collisions and falls
Cons
- Battery life isn’t ideal for cleaning larger homes in one go
Our Final Opinion About the ILife V80 Max Mopping Robot Vacuum
Quality 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 4.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 5.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, the ILife V80 Max mopping robot vacuum is the best combination of affordability and quality that the industry has to offer. It has a shorter run time per charge than other models, but its connectivity and versatile cleaning modes make it a great choice for every home.
Alternative Products to Consider
Presentation of the Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop
The Smart Alternative
Ecovacs
If you’re after a smart robot mop that won’t disappoint by getting stuck on every single possible obstacle around your home, we recommend the Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ robot vacuum and mop with TrueDetect technology so you will never have to go riding to the rescue over cables or dog toys again.
Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop Video Review
What We Think of the Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop
There is a reason this Ecovacs robot is titled the smart alternative. Its technology is far superior to that of most other robot cleaning systems, and rather than focusing on one area to excel in, it covers them all.
The intelligent mapping system is only the beginning, but this in combination with its cleaning intelligence software drastically improves the efficiency and effectiveness of this machine.
The zigzag cleaning pattern allows the robot to work more systematically than a randomized cleaning pattern, so it won’t take hours for one room to be completed.
This is a lot more convenient for most people. The water levels are adjustable to adapt to each cleaning, and the 110 minute runtime is adequate for most average sized homes to be completed on a single charge.
I’m going to be honest and tell you that I thought people who owned robotic cleaning systems were just lazy. Now I am one of those people. I recently had a second child, and I have a young dog as well. Trying to manage all of the chaos and keep up with the cleaning was just too much. This robot has really lowered my stress, and now I’m not embarrassed by the dirty floors when people come over.
lily p.
The laser mapping capabilities of this are where this robot really excels. They are more sophisticated than any other model on the market, so you can expect greater precision and more range than other robots, which helps improve the cleaning efficiency. This robot also has exceptional object detection to avoid collisions with objects and areas where it may become stuck. It can also adapt easily to floor types, so you won’t have to manually switch over to a mopping mode.
Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop Specifications
- Dimensions: 19” x 18.7” x 15.6”

Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop Pros and Cons
Pros
Pros
- Intelligent mapping and cleaning software improves efficiency
- Adjusts to different floor types automatically
- Has the most sophisticated laser mapping capabilities (better precision and range)
- Object detection is exceptional to avoid collisions and places to get stuck
Cons
- Quite expensive
Our Final Opinion About the Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop
Quality 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 2.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, the high price of the Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro+ robot vacuum and mop is truly indicative of its quality. It has highly sophisticated navigation, mapping, and object detection in order to move through your home without hesitation, and it is compatible with all floor types.
Presentation of the Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System
The Multi-Surface Alternative
Coredy
If you have multiple surface types in your home – thick carpet, hard floors, tile, etc. – then you probably want a robot mop that can flawlessly move across various surfaces. If this describes your home, we recommend the Coredy R750 robot vacuum and mopping system.
Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System Video Review
What We Think of The Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System
While this Coredy robot vacuum and mop system is not outfitted with some of the more advanced technology that is common with other cleaning robots, this model has some intelligence of its own.
It is the best model on the market for adapting to sudden changes in floor type, so if you have a variety of hard floors and carpets throughout your home, this product will be the best fit.
It weighs only 11.7 lbs so is one of the lightest robot mops on the market, and with its slim design, it can access areas under furniture that other robots will be too large for.
As homeowners, we often forget about cleaning these areas and receive a big surprise whenever we move the furniture. This robot will avoid that cleaning job for you. It can be controlled by an app or with your voice, super convenient for last minute changes to the routine.
I have four different floor types in my home (kitchen tile, hardwood, some thicker carpet, and some very flat rugs) and this robot is pretty exceptional at cleaning them all. I didn’t expect it to transition as well as it does despite the product description, and I am happy to report that the company did not exaggerate. It isn’t very automated, but I like it anyways.
joel e.
One of the other great things about this robot mop is that it will control the water level automatically.
While it does have three water levels that you can manually select from, it will use its own judgement to prevent the floors from getting too wet and slippery if the job does not require as much water as is selected.
You’ll have a bit more management to do with this model (emptying, charging), but its value is undeniable.
Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System Specifications
- Dimensions: 12.8” x 12.8” x 2.8”
- Weight: 11.7 lbs
- Runtime: 150 minutes
- Suction Power: 2200Pa
- Cleaning Path: Zigzag
- Water Levels: 3
- Warranty: 1 year
Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System Pros and Cons
Pros
Pros
- Thin design is better for getting under furniture
- Voice and app control
- Intelligent technology adapts to changes in floor surface automatically
- Automatic water control ensures floors don’t get too wet and slippery
Cons
- No self-charge or auto emptying
Our Final Opinion About the Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum and Mopping System
Quality 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 4.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 5.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, the Coredy R750 robot vacuum and mopping system is the best addition for homes that have many different types of surfaces. It is missing some of the automated features that are standard for other models, but it still has the intelligence and navigation capabilities of an effective product.
Presentation of the Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner
The Long-Lasting Alternative
Roborock
If you have a larger home and want a robot mop that can clean your entire home without needing several hours for a recharge, choose the Roborock S5 MAX robot vacuum and mop cleaner for perfectly clean floors without any lengthy interruptions caused by a dead battery.
Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner Video Review
What We Think of the Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner
If battery life is something you’re concerned about, and it is holding up your decision to buy a robot vacuum/mop, this Roborock S5 MAX can assuage all of your worries.
With 180 minutes of runtime per charge, this robot can clean any house without needing a charge midway through. As a result, you won’t have to finish a last minute clean job manually because your robot’s power source failed before the job was done.
This robot offers 2000Pa of suction power; this will be adequate for most jobs but does not reach the full potential of these robots.
With three methods of control at your disposal, you can communicate with this robot with your voice, through an app, or via the buttons on the actual robot. As a result, it is also one of the most adaptable and user-friendly robot mops on the market.
Three hours of battery life is pretty unheard of for a robot vac/mop type product, but I was really searching for one that could handle my large house in one go. I absolutely hate having a half clean house for multiple hours. This Roborock has a great run time, and the powerful suction needed to get all the mess off my carpets and tile. I’m very happy I chose this product.
frank c.
The self-charging is an incredibly convenient feature that will ensure productive operation and a full clean of your home even if you aren’t around to hook it up to its docking station.
If you only need or want certain rooms cleaned on certain days, you can set up the schedule accordingly. If you have certain areas that you don’t wish to be mopped, you can create a no-mop zone.
Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner Specifications
- Dimensions: 14” x 11” x 5”
- Weight: 13 lbs

- Suction Power: 2000Pa
- Cleaning Path: Zigzag
- Water Levels: 3

Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner Pros and Cons
Pros
Pros
- Great runtime
- Self-charging and uses LiDar navigation for efficiency
- Can set up no-mop zones and selective room cleaning
- Can be controlled via touch, voice, or the app
Cons
Cons
- Suction is not as powerful as other models
Our Final Opinion About the Roborock S5 MAX Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner
Quality 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Effectiveness 4.0 out of 5.0 stars Design 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Price 2.0 out of 5.0 stars
Overall, the Roborock S5 MAX robot vacuum and mop cleaner is worth every penny of its incredibly high price tag.
While many families won’t want to spend this much on a robot cleaner, its intelligent features and navigation will make up for the lower suction power. The run time per charge is unbeatable, too.
Presentation of the Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
The Efficient Alternative
Proscenic
If you want a robot vacuum and mopping system that can perform both functions at once for optimal cleaning efficiency and less time staring at dirty, dusty floors, the Proscenic 850T robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the best choice for dual vacuuming and mopping action.
Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop Video Review
What We Think of the Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Proscenic’s 850T robot cleaner has an exceptional 3000Pa suction power powering its cleaning capabilities. As a result, it will be effective at cleaning deep carpets and picking up larger objects like spilled cereal or crumbs off of your hard floor surfaces.
This robot weighs only 5.5 lbs, so is the best choice for people who need to carry it between levels in the home on a regular basis.
The run time of 120 minutes on a single charge is fairly average for the industry, and this should allow most homes to be thoroughly cleaned on a single charge.
If you have an atypically large house, it might require a charging break. A water tank of 300 ml and a dustbin with a 500 ml capacity are also quite standard for this product type, but without the automated emptying seen with other models, you will need to manage this aspect.
I am very, very happy with the performance of my robot vacuum. I wasn’t sure how well it would actually be able to clean dried spills in my kitchen, but it actually does a good job. The suction is strong enough to get all my kid’s crumbs out of the carpet, and it sucks up the dog hair too without getting jammed. I am telling everyone I know about this robot vacuum/mop.
jennifer w.
This robot mop/vac is able to charge itself automatically and resume its work if it hasn’t been completed, so in this way at least, the robot is management free.
This improves its efficiency, and since it can switch from mopping to vacuuming very easily, it can clean your home in an organised fashion.
With home mapping capabilities and the choice between app or voice control, you’ll be able to regulate the cleaning on a daily basis.
Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop Specifications

Things to Know Before Buying a Robot Mop
What Surfaces Can I Use a Robot Mop On?
Luckily, robot mops can be used on every surface type in your home. they work well on laminate, hardwood, tile, vinyl, linoleum, and every other hard surface. Plus, since most act as robot vacuums as well, they can be used on low-pile carpets.
Do Robot Mops Clean as Well as a Standard Mop?
Unfortunately, no. Robot mops work by dragging a microfiber attachment behind it, so they can’t scrub off stubborn or old stains unless you allow it to perform numerous passes over the area.
They also can’t usually be used with cleaning chemicals, so you’re missing that disinfecting/sanitizing step.
Robot mops that don’t have a vacuum and are dedicated to mopping usually have a scrubbing pad to apply some more agitation, and these can clean as effectively as manual mopping. No matter what, they are useful for new spills and dust on your floors.
Benefits of Using a Robot Mop
There are a number of benefits to owning a robot mop that make them worth it. Here are the top reasons to use a robot mop:
- Doubles as a vacuum
- Scheduled cleaning while at work or sleeping
- Cleans hard-to-reach spots like under couches with no effort
- Spot cleaning without needing buckets of water
- Quiet operation
- Extra time for hobbies, family, and friends
- Floors stay cleaner in between deep clean sessions
How to Properly Choose Your Robot Mop
- Price.
Robot vacuums are a bit of a luxury product, and they’re priced accordingly. Generally, you can expect to pay anywhere between $200 to over $1000 for a robot mop.
The main difference in price will be navigation sophistication, smart features like automatic emptying or self-cleaning, max suction power, and brand.
- Navigation.
Navigation is a broad term for how your robot mop acts within your home. Most robot mops are sophisticated enough to have features like cliff detection, obstacle detection, no-mop zones (such as carpeted areas or child play pens), and home mapping.
Home mapping is an essential feature for many people purchasing robot mops since you’ll be able to set virtual barriers, program cleaning in certain areas or rooms of the home, see where your robot mop is, and more.
Not all robot mops will have advanced sensors and cameras to see where they are and avoid dangerous spots, so they may need magnetic strips to identify boundaries.
- Battery Life.
Robot mops run on battery power, so the run time is crucial. Most homes take at least 90 minutes to be cleaned, but this also depends on the ratio of hard floors versus carpeting you have in your home. most of the mops on our list have a battery life of 150 minutes or more, but there is something to keep in mind here.
The battery life may refer to vacuuming only as opposed to mopping or vacuuming and mopping, so your robot mop may need a recharge to complete your entire home depending on its starting battery life and the mode it’s operating on.
- Automatic Emptying.
Hybrid robot mops that also vacuum your home will have a dust bin built in to catch all the dust and dirt that gets sucked up, but it often doesn’t hold more than a few hundred millimetres of debris.
A robot mop that has automatic emptying with its base can empty its internal dust bin automatically to keep vacuuming even when it gets full, and so you don’t have to empty it more than once a month or less. Some advanced robot mops even have this feature for its water tank, so it can keep cleaning without needing to be filled every time.
- Controls.
Most robot mops nowadays have app connectivity that can be used to adjust settings, recall the mop, start a cleaning session, find the mop, set cleaning schedules, input barriers, and more.
App control is incredibly convenient, but voice activation is even better. Not all robot mops will be compatible with Alexa or Google Home, but this is a helpful feature to look out for if you don’t want to have to pull out your phone to adjust a setting or start the mop on its route.
- Adjustability.
Robot mops, and hybrid models in particular, have some adjustable settings that really influence how it vacuums and mops your home. the level of suction is adjustable, with 3-4 levels being most common.
There will also be several moisture options that can be adjusted depending on how much water you want left behind on your floors. More moisture will take longer to dry, but it may be more effective with stickier or more stubborn messes.
- Modes.
Depending on the type of robot mop, there may be a few modes of operation to choose from. The common options are vacuum and mop, but some more advanced models will also offer a vacuum and suction mode that does both simultaneously to be more efficient.
If the robot mop will be running while you’re away from the home, separate modes will most likely be totally fine. However, if you’ll be home and don’t want to wait for both passes over the floor, dual mode operation will be your best friend.
We do our best to provide you with a comparative guide of robot mops allowing you to choose the best product possible. If we are missing information or new models, do not hesitate to leave a comment below or to send us a message.
