What We Think of The Chef’s Choice 615A Electric Meat Slicer
The Chef’s Choice electric meat slicer is a very compact option that will fit in any home, apartment, RV, or dorm. Its smaller size is complemented by a 7” blade, which is one of the smallest on this type of electric deli slicer. Despite this, you’ll be able to slice everything from deli meats to cheese, vegetables, and bread with this food slicer.
One key feature on this slicer is the food pusher. While most slicers come with a plastic food pusher, this model has a stainless-steel food pusher for better durability, safety, and ease of cleaning. The tilted food carriage is standard on an electric slicer of this kind, but it is useful nonetheless since it keeps your food pressed flat to the blade for even, efficient slices.
I love this slicer for a number of reasons, mainly that the high 2/4” cut thickness option allows me to slice bread more efficiently than before. It is easy to take apart and clean and goes together again smoothly as well. It is sturdy and handles meat and raw vegetables very well. The slices are really consistent from 1 to 20 mm. very happy with my purchase.

The thick slices possible with this electric deli slicer reach up to ¾” thick, ideal for a wide variety of meats and breads in particular. The motor is fairly week with 120 watts, but it is high-torque with gear drive so you shouldn’t have any trouble achieving clean slices. The food carriage is equipped with a safety lock to prevent it from moving around when being lifted to and from storage. The thickness dial is one of the best-labelled on the market, so precision with your slices will be a piece of cake.

Beswood 10” Premium Electric Deli Slicer Video Review
What We Think of The Beswood 10” Premium Electric Deli Slicer
The Beswood premium electric deli slicer is a high-powered option that will make quick work of any amount of deli meat, cheese, vegetables, and bread that you need to slice. As a commercial-grade slicer, it operates with a handle for better control and ease of use compared to models without this feature. The handle makes using the slicer more comfortable, which is key with bigger batches.
The 10” blade is one of the biggest available on models suited for the home, and this adds excellent versatility with reliable performance since the stronger blade takes larger meat cuts. The bigger blade is paired with a stronger 240-watt motor that offers high RPMs for efficiency and super clean and precise slices. The blade is also self-sharpening so it will never lose its sharp edge or efficiency.
This is a professional, commercial quality slicer. I discovered pork bellies for nitrate free bacon, but the sliced ones at the grocery store were too thick for my liking. I like being able to customize the quality of my deli meats, so I use it for that, veggies, and meats for the dehydrator as well. It is a bit of a pain to clean, so I use it in bulk on the weekend.

The adjustable thickness dial is incredibly precise with a range of deli-thin to ½” thick slices to meet your every need. Considering the size of the appliance, it isn’t surprising that it weighs a staggering 33 lbs, but this does make it more challenging when moving to and from storage. Its bulky size makes fitting it in a cupboard challenging but not impossible. If you’re looking for precise, uniform cuts and reliable power and performance, this is the best option.

Cuisinart FS-75 Kitchen Pro Food Slicer Review
The Budget Pick
Cuisinart
Are you looking for an affordable electric slicer to make home cooking more efficient? Look no further than the Cuisinart FS-75 kitchen pro food slicer. This reasonably priced option is great for budget-minded shoppers who don’t need any frills.
Cuisinart FS-75 Kitchen Pro Food Slicer Video Review
What We Think of the Cuisinart FS-75 Kitchen Pro Food Slicer
The Cuisinart kitchen pro food slicer has a 7.5” blade undulated for extra grip and traction as it cuts through your foods. The blade and carriage are stainless steel for durability and sanitization purposes while the body of the appliance is a steel and die-cast aluminum to make it lighter and more user-friendly when moving to and from storage.
This slicer can create slices of any thickness you could need ranging from 1/32” to ½” in size. This makes it possible to meet the requirements of any recipe without endangering your fingers or resulting in half slices or uneven cuts. Cleanup is fairly straightforward by handwashing the removable blade, food carriage, and food pusher. Non-slip feet provide some extra stability while operating the appliance, but they’re not as effective as suction feet seen on some other models.
This is a simple slicer, but it’s perfect for my needs. I like to use thick slices for my sandwiches every day for work, and I got tired of having to buy tons of pre-sliced packages at the supermarket. This is a more cost-effective solution, and it’s pretty fun to use. It does cheese easily too, though I haven’t used it for any vegetables yet. It gets the job done much easier and quicker than by hand.

Given that this is a more affordable option, the lower 130-watt motor isn’t that much of a surprise. The lower power results in lower RPMs, so you won’t have the same uniformity and efficiency as you would with a more expensive option. That being said, this is more than enough to make your prep less labour-intensive, which is the main point for most users.

Overall, we’re pleased with the performance and usability of this Cuisinart food slicer, especially when compared to others at a similar price range. Techwood Electric Meat Slicer Video Review
What We Think of the Techwood Electric Meat Slicer
The Techwood electric meat slicer is a great choice for casual users or beginners since it is affordable and easy to use. The large 9” blade makes this an incredibly versatile workhorse since it can handle larger cuts of meat and large loaves of bread. The blade is smooth, like most slicers, so it does best with deli meats, cheese, and vegetables rather than raw meat or near-frozen foods.
The thickness dial adjusts from extremely thin slices to a maximum of 15 mm or 0.6” for thick slices of meat or bread. The base of the slicer has non-slip feet that add stability and safety while it operates, as well as less vibration for cleaner slices. A plastic food pusher is included to keep your hands well away from the operational blade.
I purchased this for slicing bread, deli meats, and cheese. It does a fantastic job. It never hesitates through different foods and the slices are very clean and consistent. I feel very safe using it. It isn’t too loud to use, just don’t push on it and take it slow. Both the blade and motor do get warm, though it states not to use it for more than 10 minutes. It’s exactly what I need.

Though the components do come apart for cleaning, and the blade is removable, this unit is tricky to clean since there are spots where debris as well as soapy water can enter and cause trouble. As long as you’re careful, you should be okay, but it isn’t totally foolproof. An 18-month warranty protects your investment against any defects.

Anescra Electric Deli Food Slicer Review
The Versatile Pick
Anescra
If you’re looking to slice everything from deli meats to cheese and vegetables, you need a slicer that is designed to handle all types of foods. The Anescra electric deli food slicer comes with two blades and is built specifically to slice through everything you throw at it.
Anescra Electric Deli Food Slicer Video Review
What We Think of The Anescra Electric Deli Food Slicer
The Anescra electric deli food slicer comes with two different blades for more precise slicing. One is serrated for semi-frozen or raw meat and raw foods while the other is smooth for deli meats, breads, and cheese. These options allow users to customize the performance of their electric slicer for best results and efficient operation with various food types. Having two blades prevents cross-contamination as well.
This is a great choice if you make bread yourself or purchase fresh uncut loaves since the larger ¾” slice thickness is ideal for breads. The 7.5” blade is a great size for home use since it is both versatile yet compact for easier storage in kitchen cupboards. Cleaning this electric slicer is a simple challenge since all parts remove easily and there’s an extra ring guard that prevents debris buildup in the machine.
To say this thing saves time and money would be an understatement. I can now buy all of our favourite meats in bulk and spend a night slicing and prepping. Bulk slicing can be a bit annoying since you have to rest for 15 minutes after 5 minutes of continuous action, but it does give me time to pack up the finished slices. It’s simple to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, so no complaints there either.

If your children like to help in the kitchen, not to worry – this electric slicer has a child lock that prevents your kids from starting the machine by pushing the power button. This feature also protects you in case the power button is hit accidentally. This unit is a bit pricier, but it’s in no way unreasonable, so most households should be able to comfortably afford this model if cheaper options aren’t going to cut it.

The slices come out perfect with meat, cheese, and vegetables. It is one of the few with a ledge for the sliced food to fall past the blade which is very helpful. Highly recommend. It’s professional quality.

The large 10” blade makes it possible to cut larger cuts of meat or loaves of bread since it has a wider cut length, width, and height compared to the smaller blades. With over 500RPM power, your slices will be clean and uniform every time. The max cut thickness is half an inch, which is average for this type of machine. The only downsides are the cost and the bulky size of the machine – both small flaws if you need maximum power and efficiency.

The Ostba electric deli food slicer is great for beginners since it has all the safety features you need to slice efficiently without risk. Firstly, it has a child lock that won’t allow the machine to operate unless you’re the one using it. This protects little fingers as well as prevents damage to the machine from improper use. As an added bonus, a removable ring guard prevents debris from falling into the cracks, thereby preventing bacteria and mold buildup where no amount of scrubbing can reach. It also protects against moisture if you’re working with raw meat.
This is my first slicer and I can’t imagine anything much better for what I use it for. I’ve done a variety of deli meats, a few different cheeses, and a ton of vegetables. It is easy to adjust the slice thickness for a bunch of different recipes. I wish it stood taller to fit a plate under it to catch the slices. It is lighter than I expected, easy to move around and store. Super easy to use, foolproof really.

Things to Know Before Buying an Electric Slicer
Why Should I Slice My Own Food?
There are many reasons why owning a food slicer is the right way to go. First of all, it can speed up a lot of the grunt work related to cooking since it can slice pretty much anything.
It is perfect for vegetables, bread, fruit, and meat. The beauty of an electric slicer is that you can customize your slices, achieve uniform slices with zero effort, and make more complicated recipes without spending hours in the kitchen.
Preparing your own cold cuts helps you avoid additives and preservatives, saves money, reduces the amount of plastic waste you produce, and offers an easy way to get thicker slices when you’re “hangry.” Plus, you’ll be able to get those deli-thin slices without risking your fingers in the process.
What Can an Electric Slicer Be Used for?
An electric slicer can do pretty much everything you need from a sharp kitchen gadget. It can be used on all types of foods including deli meats, beef for steaks, bread, cheese, vegetables like onion and peppers, mushrooms, fruits, and more.
How to Use an Electric Slicer Properly
If slicing meat, it should first be put into the freezer for about 30 minutes so that it is cold and won’t crumble as you slice.
The colder your food in general, the better it will slice since it will stay rigid and the blade can slice cleanly through in a straight line.
Fully frozen food should never be processed since the ice crystals in the food will make your motor work harder than it should, and it will dull your blade faster.
Your foods should be cut in half before slicing so you have a flat surface to face the blade. This makes cutting easier, more stable, and ensures you have uniform slices.
This is especially true for fresh loaves of bread or deli meats that are often circular or oval shapes before being sliced.
How to Properly Choose Your Electric Slicer
- Price.
The price range of electric slicers is quite wide depending on the brand, size, power, and quality you choose. There is a difference of hundreds of dollars between entry-level and commercial-grade options, so there is a great product that fits everyone’s budget and needs.
No matter how much you’re willing or able to spend, you’ll have several options to choose between thanks to the large selection available.
- Size.
The size of the electric slicer you choose will have a few implications. The first, and the most obvious, is storage. A compact slicer is more convenient and weighs less so it’s easier to move back and forth from storage to your counter and back again. The second is related to performance.
A larger model will have a larger model, larger blade, and perhaps a convenient shelf for the food to land post-slice. Smaller models won’t have this shelf, which can be an annoyance for some users.
- Power.
The power range of an electric slicer is roughly between 130 and 250 watts. Depending on the strength of the motor, the blade will rotate at different RPMs.
Since you’ll be slicing through various foods, some harder or tougher than others, higher power is always a good thing. Some electric deli slicers rotate at a couple hundred RPM while others exceed 500 RPM.
The higher the power, the cleaner, more efficient slices that are possible.
- Blade Size.
The size of the blade on your electric slicer is important since it determines the size of the meat cuts that you can slice with the machine. For example, a 10” blade could handle larger hams while the smaller 7” blades are best suited to things like salami and other tubed meats.
Each size of blade will have different widths, lengths, and heights that they can cut through, so you have to determine the types of foods you’ll be slicing before deciding on a blade size. When in doubt, bigger is better.
- Ease of Cleaning.
Since you’ll be working with raw and cooked foods on a regular basis, cleanliness is of the utmost importance. Most electric slicers will easily come apart with removable food carriages, food pushers, blades, and slide-rod extension.
Stainless steel parts are ideal since they’re more hygienic than plastic. Some electric slicers will go one step further with a ring-guard cover that prevents debris, but most will also have nooks and crannies that make cleaning a little more challenging.
- Slice Thickness.
Since the entire point of using an electric slicer at home is to customize your slice thickness, the range is one of the most important features to pay attention to.
Most slicers are capable of deli-thin slices, usually about 1/32 of an inch. The max thickness is generally either 1/2”, 2/3”, or 3/4”.
If you’ll be using the electric slicer for bread, we recommend choosing a slicer with a higher max slice thickness so you have more options.
- Warranty.
Warranty protection is always a good idea when making a new purchase. This is especially true when the electric product costs several hundred dollars, which many deli slicers will.
Coverage can range from as little as a 30-day moneyback guarantee to three years of limited warranty protection against manufacture defects. On the more expensive models, you should have at least one year of protection to cover your investment.
We do our best to provide you with a comparative guide of electric slicers allowing you to choose the best product possible. If we are missing information or new models, do not hesitate to leave a comment below or to send us a message.
