5. Weight Limit.

The weight limit for a bouncy castle will typically range between 150 lbs and 300 lbs. It is important to keep in mind that they will also usually have a max weight per kid, in order to spread out the total weight. As a result, most adults will not also be able to take part in the bouncy house fun, unless they have a really small build (less than one hundred pounds usually). Adhering to the weight guideline is a necessary part of keeping your children safe and your product in good condition.

6. Safety Netting.

Safety netting (mesh sides) can be found on nearly every bouncy castle. Some models will have inflatable walls instead of mesh, but we’ll explain why we prefer the safety netting. While inflated walls can still do a great job of keeping your kids safe and contained within the jump area, it cuts off a lot of your visibility. Since parents are usually quite keen on keeping an eye on their children to make sure they are safe and unarmed, safety netting is the better wall material to choose.

7. Accessories.

Bouncy castles can come with a number of accessories. Nearly all of them will include a repair kit and carry bag, and absolutely all of them will have stakes for securing the castle. Better quality models will include a blower for you to use with the bouncy castle, and the more engaging bouncers will even include extras like plastic balls or other toys to make the product more fun for kids.

8. Constant Airflow vs Single-Inflation.

Most bouncy castles will require a constant source of airflow while being used. As a result, the seams will not be fully sewn together, in order to allow air to escape and not overinflate the bouncy castle to the point that it is no longer bouncy. It is important to note that these models will require a reliable power source the entire time they are being used. If you don’t want to use power constantly, there are a rare few models that you can inflate and let sit.
