This bidet didn’t earn our top pick title for nothing. It weighs only two lbs, so won’t be too difficult to work with during installation, but it is still durable enough to last. This unit is a bit more complicated and will require about 15-20 minutes of your time for installation, but it is worth it. This is a mechanical bidet that operates with cold water only, and it has 4 different water pressure settings to let you choose your most comfortable level.

The dual nozzle design ensures that both men and women can get an effective cleanse with the water, and the nozzle will automatically retract after each use in order to keep it out of the way until you need it. It also has a self clean function that you can select rather than the posterior or feminine wash modes. We would prefer that the water temperature was adjustable as well, but to be fair, that is a lot to ask.

3. Single or Dual Nozzle.

Single nozzle bidets will be the most affordable, but they won’t be as versatile. Without the second nozzle, it will be more difficult for women to achieve a full clean, but it is still possible. Many of them have this feature included, so you won’t need to spend a bunch of money to avoid the chore of cleaning the bidet nozzle(s). Some bidets will clean the nozzle automatically before and after every use (the expensive ones), but most will require you to simple switch it to self clean mode and the back to one of the standard bidet modes.

5. Air Dry Function.

Only the most advanced (and expensive) bidets will offer an air dry function. Along with heated seats, this is the feature that is included with electric bidets but not mechanical ones. An air dry function means that you won’t need any toilet paper at all after using the toilet, since there won’t even be any water to dry. Plus, this is the best option for people who struggle to stand or reach around themselves to clean up.

6. Water Temperature Settings.

Many bidets won’t offer any variability in the temperature settings, but there are some that do. Less sophisticated models will only be able to use cold water, since they won’t have a hot water connection. More expensive models will offer multiple temperature selections in the hot and cold range to offer you the most customizable bidet experience possible. Every person will have their own preferences, so we appreciate the option.

7. Warranty.

Warranty coverage is always recommended by us. Whether you choose an electric or a mechanical bidet, there are parts that can go wrong and render the product ineffective. Whether you’ve spend $50 or $500 on the bidet, you’re not going to want to replace it out of pocket. If you buy a product with included warranty protection (or purchase a package separately) you’ll be saving yourself a lot of money and a big hassle down the line.
